Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern the submission of content on this website. By submitting your story, name, photo, or any other content (“Submission”) to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (the “Charity”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not make a Submission.

1. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old to make a Submission. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

2. Content Submission By making a Submission, you grant the Charity a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display the Submission in any media. You acknowledge that your Submission may be used by the Charity for marketing and promotional purposes without further compensation.

3. Use of Name and Image You consent to the use of your name and any photographs provided in connection with your Submission for promotional purposes by the Charity. This includes but is not limited to print materials, social media, the Charity’s website, press releases, and other marketing channels.

4. Representations and Warranties By making a Submission, you represent and warrant that: (a) the content is original and does not infringe on any third-party copyright, trademark, proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy; (b) you are the sole author and owner of the intellectual property rights thereto; (c) all moral rights that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you; (d) the content does not contain any unlawful material or violate any laws.

5. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Charity from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your Submission.

6. Modifications to Terms The Charity reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website.

7. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
