Inclusive Play

Creating a more inclusive Canada.

At Jumpstart, we are committed to building a Canada where every kid can access sport and play. Too many kids are left on the sidelines due to barriers such as a lack of adapted sport programs or inaccessible play spaces. We are champions of inclusive play, encouraging positive change across the country to help break down the barriers kids with disabilities face.

Program Grants

Since 2013, we have worked with the Canadian Paralympic Committee to create greater opportunities for children and youth with disabilities. Jumpstart offers program grants for para sport, adapted sport, and mixed abilities programming to organizations who are working to address the systematic barriers to accessing sport and recreation faced by kids and youth with disabilities. Applicants are evaluated and prioritized using an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion score.
