Sport Relief Fund Spotlight

We are proud to support organizations who share our commitment to keeping Girls In Sport, like Girls Leading Girls Tennis. Their mission is to build an environment for girls in Halifax to develop a passion for tennis and create a pathway to foster strong leadership skills.

When the pandemic caused challenges with GLG Tennis’ fundraising, court scheduling, and limited their resources for coaching, the Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund helped ensure they could continue to offer programs for their athletes. GLG Tennis used the additional funds to gain access to more tennis facilities and hire more female coaches, enabling them to offer a high-level program that will continue to help female players grow in their sport.

A huge shout out to Girls Leading Girls Tennis for all they do to encourage girls to play - and keep playing - the sport of tennis.
