Formed in 1983, the BC Wheelchair Basketball Society has been a catalyst in creating awareness about accessibility issues and has provided support to wheelchair basketball programs throughout British Columbia. Their programs are offered to both people who have physical disabilities and able-bodied people, and to all age groups - from eight-year-olds to seniors. In doing so, the organization provides experiences that inspire inclusion, participation and excellence through the sport of wheelchair basketball.
