Jumpstart takes over Toronto's Waterfront!
As of November 2025, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is proud to announce a three-year partnership with Harbourfront Centre as its official recreation partner.
New programs & activations
Over the next three years, our respective teams will co-design programs and activations that inspire new sport and play opportunities year-round. From public skating to curling, hockey and more, expanded recreational opportunities will be available for youth who deserve a place to play.
SKATING RINK EXPANSION - The partnership launched with Jumpstart and the Harbourfront Centre, doubling the size of Toronto’s most iconic community skating rinks.
Creating more space and more joy for Toronto families and youth to enjoy free skate rental, tree lighting celebrations, and weekly DJ Skate Nights. With improved site access and adaptive skate options, we're making sure everyone can experience the magic of skating beneath the city lights — no matter their age, ability, or background.
And the excitement doesn't stop at the rink.
NEW SOCCER PITCH - Ahead of Toronto's historic first FIFA World Cup match, Jumpstart is partnering with Harbourfront Centre to bring a youth-friendly soccer pitch to the waterfront.
The installation is part of Jumpstart's Community Pitch Project — an initiative where the charity is building 20 soccer pitches across Canada in partnership with local municipalities, so kids have a place to let out their soccer spirit.
